The coolest thing in a while...

Is it possible to capture a single day in one photograph? Here's the remarkable story of one Greek photographer who tried. Amazing! (Thanks to Craig McClure for posting this.)

Sarah and Sam

New Years day-- which could be written 1-1-11 -- is a date that neither Sarah nor Sam will ever forget, as it was their wedding day. Images taken at Thalia Presbyterian and at the reception on the Spirit of Norfolk.
This was a terrific way to bring in the new year! A lovely occasion.

It is always a pleasure to spend a day with a couple on the first -- and most important-- day of their lives together. And it is a privilege to document their day, and to create images that will bear the test of time.

This was fun!

Had the opportunity to do cover ODU basketball yesterday.  I hadn't done that in years. If you cover sports, you realize that it takes a while to find your rhythm.

I understand the game well enough, and found that, much like football, it takes about a quarter to a quarter-and-a-half to get in the swing of things. To follow the court action, anticipate (or guess) where the action is going to go, and be ready for the shot.

Tremendous fun, and a very good game, as ODU defeated George Mason in a close one.
