Met two young women via Model Mayhem and shot at the Pagoda. Chose the Pagoda because the weather was iffy, and the structure would provide a porch if the rains came. The sun played peek-a-boo all afternoon until the clouds lifted. So we had a variety of lighting conditions to contend with. These young ladies were terrific to work with!

More Lessons From After Dark Miami

As mentioned earlier, a total immersion experience. I've already put t use some of the things I learned by watching and working with some of the more than 30 "mentors" who come to share some small part of their expertise in a workshop setting. Some of the most interesting lessons were in "finding the light. Several mentors, including Fuzzy Duenkel and Martin Graham-Dunn, emphasize the importance of finding light and then enhancing that light, often with reflectors, to get a pleasing result.

After Dark Miami

After Dark Education in Miami was the equivalent of Woodstock for professional photographers, a total immersion experience. Here are just a few of the images I managed to create while a part of this controlled explosion of 30-plus photographic mentors and 300 attendees.
